The penultimate Harry Potter movie is better than the previous chapter, but still a little sleepy at times. Director David Yates (the director of the previous two chapters and Deathly Hallows: Part 2) lets parts drag on and on; the movie could use another edit to squeeze out some of the unnecessary bits. Still, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint do great work as Harry, Hermione and Ron, as they journey away from Hogwarts to avoid the despicable Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes). Be prepared: This is only half a movie, and the ending is quite unsatisfying. Also know that the movie contains gore, and even a scene with Harry and Hermione getting it on. This is definitely one of the darker chapters in the franchise; it earns its PG-13.
