Halloween on the Fly
Japanese tenkara-style fly-fishing workshop for kids and families takes place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, at SK Builders, 1836 S. Research Loop. Burgers and hot dogs are served at noon, and author and fly fisherman Gary Borger presents "Stream Reading" and "Catching the Impossible Fish" from 1 to 3:30 p.m. All free. Borger also offers advanced fly-casting clinic from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Chuck Ford Lakeside Park, 8300 E. Stella Road; $45.
