Good Ol' Freda

This is a documentary about Freda Kelly, the secretary for The Beatles, who was with them from the beginning until the end. The movie is principally an interview with Freda herself, with some of her friends around for good measure. The only Beatles presence would be the occasional song, archival video and photos (McCartney and Starr don’t do any new interviews, although Ringo does provide a post credits message). It’s an interesting enough story for Beatles fans, but nothing important if you lean more towards the Kinks are the Stones. Kelly is a jovial enough presence, so her behind-the-scenes look is a fun one. I honestly had no idea of her existence until this movie showed up, so it’s a cool piece of Beatles history for sure.

Good Ol' Freda is not showing in any theaters in the area.
