Gigantic

A by-the-numbers indie rom-com: Affectless boy (Paul Dano) meets kooky girl (Zooey Deschanel) who awakens him with life and erections. Some fine supporting performances by Ed Asner and John Goodman as the respective dads add to the enjoyment, but the clichés and weak plot drag the film down. On a scale of one to infinity, with all films receiving at least infinity, Gigantic is a countable infinity. So it’s the lowest order of infinity. Which doesn’t mean it’s bad; it’s just riddled with flaws that are balanced by decent performances and a weird series of cameos by comic genius Zach Galifianakis.

Gigantic is not showing in any theaters in the area.
