Gala and Mother's Day Celebration
A gala celebration featuring Mexican appetizers, a program on shawls, poetry and dance and performances by Mariachi Luz de Luna and Folklorico San Juan takes place at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 9. $30. A Mother's Day celebration featuring weaving demonstrations, Mexican snacks and refreshments and a photo booth takes place from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, May 10. Free. Both events run in conjunction with an exhibit of Mexican shawls on display in the museum through Sunday, May 10. Call or visit tucsonmuseumofart.org for more information.
