I don't think it's causing anybody grief; it's just highlighting and bringing a lot of attention to the rat-infested sewer that is the Grijalvas/Pima County Democratic Party, and their minions, such as TEA.

In CD1, Wenona Benally Baldenegro is the breath of fresh air that Arizona so desperately needs. The Harvard-educated Baldenegro, with deep ties to Tucson and Pima County, will make history, as the first Native American woman EVER to serve in Congress, and the first Native American from Arizona to be elected to Congress. She will give Arizona something to be proud of, again. She has already been endorsed by members of Congress, environmental groups, unions, and several state legislators.

The CD1 race has only gotten ugly because the mucky-mucks in the AZ Dem Party are trying to circle their wagons around one-term former Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, and trying to push Baldenegro out. Kirkpatrick was bounced out of office in 2010, because she voted with the Republicans most of the time, despite representing a Democratic district. She lost 68,000 votes between 2008 and 2010, which is a huge amount of votes. Democrats were extremely betrayed, and they did not come out to vote for her, in 2010.

Kirkpatrick is also heavily bankrolled by ALEC-affiliated lobbyists and lobbyists from the private prison industry and the payday-loan industry.

The people of CD1 have a clear choice: Payday Paton, Payday Ann, or making history in our centennial year, and giving all of us in Arizona something to be proud of, again.

After reading the comments, to me, the story is why Janet Marcotte, Exec. Director of the YWCA, is defending one of the most utterly corrupt politicians that Tucson has ever known? Lest we forget that Eckstrom was forced to step down from the County Supes amid FBI investigations into his misappropriation and embezzlement of federal funds.

    http://tucsoncitizen.com/morgue2/2006/09/0…

Marcotte defends Eckstrom, just as she has defended John Pedicone and Mark Stegeman, every step of the way, as they have dismantled TUSD Mexican-American Studies. The word is already out about Janet Marcotte, who has worked tirelessly to harm Tucson's Mexican-American community, while also profiting from that destruction. Racism is good for business, right? You couldn't truly "eliminate" it, could you, because then how could you stay in business? The question that I have, then, is that given Marcotte's tireless defense of tyrants and corrupt politicians, whose pocket is she in?

Give it up, Mark. The Tucson community has seen your true colors. You have disgraced yourself by disrespecting some of our community's most respected elders, such as Lupe Castillo and Salomon Baldenegro. Furthermore, you have intentionally chosen to align yourself with the likes of Tom Horne, Russell Pearce, and John Huppenthal, in your tireless quest to destroy this successful program that has helped so many TUSD students, and that has changed so many young lives, for the better.

You have been disowned by your own party. Pima County Democratic Party Chairman Jeff Rogers has called you a "disgrace" to the Democratic Party, and he has compared you to Neville Chamberlain. Ward I Councilwoman Romero returned your campaign contribution, because she does not want anything to do with you, anymore.

You have absolutely no honor, and you have lost all credibility with the Tucson community. The only way for you to regain your disgraced reputation would be to apologize and step down from the TUSD Board. Do the right thing, Mark, and end this now.

    The video is all there:

Stegeman, you are the liar. You cannot rewrite history (Mexican-American or otherwise), no matter how much you would like to.
