Re: “No Healthcare Vote Today After All

To the credit of moderate Republicans in Congress, they rejected Trump's "Health Care" proposal designed to enrich Insurance Companies at the expense of millions of low/moderate income Americans, the Elderly, and Veterans. Their message: they answer /are responsible to their constituents NOT Donald Trump!!

It can only be hoped that this will act as a catalyst for Democrats and Republicans to cooperate and essentially marginalize Donald Trump making his position Ceremonial at best!

Re: “Learn How To Save the Bees

Might I add, Mr. Hunter: By "native species that are far more gentle in AZ", I assume that you are not referring to Honey Bees. Apis mellifera was the Honey Bee in Arizona prior to the introduction of Apis scutellata. They are sub-species and capable of hybridization resulting in a Honey Bee population in Arizona that is now far more aggressive and potentially dangerous.

If you opt to work with local Honey Bees, proceed with caution. An alternative is to introduce an Apis mellifera queen into your colony and re-queen as necessary in trying to keep your colony reatively gentle.

Bee that live in holes and do not have honey, are not Honey Bees.

Re: “Learn How To Save the Bees

I'm a Beekeeper here in Tucson. Beekeeping in Southern Arizona can be tricky business because of the hybridization of the African Bee, Apis scutellata , with the local population, with the result that the Honey Bee can be Very Aggressive in protecting their Hive.

So...if you decide to Keep Honey Bees, do so with caution...the reward...the Honey you extract from the Hive, depending on the time of extraction, is Great: mainly from the mesquite, acacia, cacti, and salt cedar.

Re: “U.S. Rep. McSally Says She Supports Protecting Americans with Pre-Existing Conditions in Obamacare Replacement

It is Hypocrisy that the Republicans in Congress, who have Health Coverage second to none, are NOT supportive a Universal Health Coverage in the US, i.e., NO ONE should be without Health Insurance. There should be Price Controls in place on Drug Companies and the Health Care Industry so as to ensure that they are NOT Profiteering at the expense of others!!!

Vote the Hypocrite Republicans OUT of OFFICE!!!!

Re: “Is Antisemitism Rising to the Threat Level?

These acts of hate directed at the Jewish Community are not, in my opinion, expressions of Antisemitism but expressions of Antizionism ; a result of the establishment of a Zionist State in Palestine and the continued Occupation and Usurpation of Palestinian Land by a Zionist Government.

On November 26, 1947, James Forrestal, Secretary of Defense, stated to J. Howard Mc Grath, Senator from Rhode Island:

"...no group in this country should be permitted to influence our policy to the point it could endanger our national security."(The Forrestal Diaries, 1951)

Secretary Forrestal was referring to enormous political pressure that the Zionist Jews (including Felix Frankfurter and Louis Brandeis of the Supreme Court) in this country were placing both on President Truman and on the political process, generally, for the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine.

President Truman, himself had serious misgivings about such a state and initially opposed its' creation:

"The creation of a Jewish state...would cause a third world war...The government of Palestine should be a government of the people irrespective of race, religion or color."(Michael Cohen, Truman and Israel, 1990)

This view was reflected by non-Zionists Jews in this country who also feared the creation of a Theocracy (Jewish State) in the Palestine. In an editorial in the New York Times:

.."Many of us have long had doubts concerning the wisdom of erecting a political state on a basis of a religious faith"(quoted in The Forrestal Diaries, 1951)..."the decision is fraught with great danger for the future security of this country."(The Forrestal Diaries, 1951)

A Jewish State in the Middle East was established, with US support, on the basis of a Jewish terrorist organization, the Irgun, led by former Prime Minister Menachem Begin. The Jews considered themselves "freedom fighters".

We can begin to effectively neutralize the animosity within the Moslem Community with a recognition of the historic character of Palestine as representing the common heritage of Christian, Jews, and Moslems; that the United States rejects claims for the completely autonomous political and cultural development of any one religious/cultural group in Palestine; that Christians, Jews, and Moslems have a cooperative, co-equal, semi-autonomous share in the political and cultural development of Palestine.

The United States must re-evaluate and re-formulate our Foreign Policy in the Middle East. If we have not the rectitude and courage to undue the injustices to the indigenous people of Palestine, the possibility of the use of weapons of mass destruction may involve this country in a Religious War of self-destruction.

Re: “'Enemy of the People': The Phrase's Ironic and Instructive Literary History

Mr. Trump, I my view, is NOT fit to service in the Office of President of the United States. He is Mentally Unstable and has undermined the very nature of our Constitutional Democracy with Three Co-Equal Branches of Government, as well as our Independent and Free Press. His statements regarding His Russian Mentor and "Friendship" with the Thug Putin threatens the National Security of our Country.

It remains to be determined the nature of the contacts He and his Minions have had with Russia before, during, and after the Presidential Election. His statements during the Election encouraging Russia to hack Servers of the DNC and Mrs. Clinton are sufficient, in my view, in making him Complicit in undermining the validity of this Election and are sufficient Grounds for His Impeachment. This, of course, is a decision that Congress will make when these Congressional Investigations are Complete.

All Partisanship Must be put aside in the evaluation of the evidence and in determining if Donald Trump should be removed for Office.
