Re: “T.H.R.E.A T. Watch, a Year Later

Pfizer, AT&T and Comcast bonuses were news because of their rarities. The AT&T bonus was negotiated months ago by their union and has nothing to do with the tax cut (although I give you Mgmt may have conceded in anticipation of the cut). Nevertheless, for each of these, there are thousands of corporations who will use the extra profits to buy back their own stock for the benefit of shareholders and senior executives, or for M&A, which typically leads to downsizing and fewer jobs. Most other CEOs have indicated that. Fox News doesn't report that, but its in the business press. Interesting how people selectively listen to and tout the news they like to hear...ok both sides.

Re: “Song of the Day: Billy Sedlmayr on Procol Harum's 'A Salty Dog'

I have been a long time fan of Procol Harum and seen them everytime they've played in the US. One of my favorites was, perhaps the first, at Fillmore East in New York in the early '70s. Highlight of the show was the darkened stage as a smoke machine created a low dense fog that flowed off the edge into the audience as Procol Harum did A Salty Dog complete with ships bells and seagull caws. A chills up the spine moment!

Re: “Trump Is Going to Fall, Hard, Sometime During the Primaries

David W: How do you propose we identify "Muslims" to exclude? What about half-Muslims? Quarter-Muslims? Do you now see how racist that is? And since the numbers of immigrants of any religion is tiny compared to all the "Muslims" already here, both immigrants and citizens, what do you propose we do about them? More racist bigotry?
