Re: “Limits to Lending

I have always appreciated the fact that the Payday loan was available, even though I have not had to use one in many years. Yes, I have not had to, because I also handle my finances better now, but what about those times when my car blows a cylinder, my house floods (deductibles) or I have that unexpected medical bill that insurance will not cover?
I do not condone the lending practices of these businesses, especially with the sad trapped cycle mentioned above, and the extraordinary interest rates. But the loans did serve a purpose of emergency funds that "could" be available to me. What now? Family loan? Work advance? My savings are pretty much locked up, (retirement and other accounts), but then again, they are now my safety nets.
