This is just a notice to the person(s) who don't give their name when reporting-You are a coward. My question to you is this-What are you doing to help these people who are in need? Nothing-that's what I thought. Just a note on the Parks and Rec Dept. wanting money for permits to feed people-you don't even charge people deposit fees to rent out the ramadas. I have been a long time resident to a certain park in town and I have seen all the damage done to the park from people who rent and use these ramadas but the park refuses to do anything about it but they will go after someone who is helping people. Can you say-Insanity!
It's amazing to me that people are cowards-reporting anonymously. Come on. Just a question to this person(s)-what are you doing to help out these people who are in need? Nothing-that's what I thought.
It is amazing to me that people especially ones who are in college don't know how to read. Has anyone who is against this bill actually read what is written it in? The real "TRUTH" regarding this bill is that they aren't afraid of racial profiling what they are afraid of is that now your family and friends can't come over here and use and abuse the privileges that are afforded to legal US Citizens. . The other issue especially from people who don't live in Az and who aren't even U.S. citizens you need to mind your own business. You have no right to put false fear into people regarding this new bill. This new bill doesn't promote racial profiling at all. Please learn how to read before causing an unnecessary uproar in our community and on a national level. Let me remind these same people who are against this bill about all of the victims and people who have been affected by people crossing the border illegally. What about them? There is no amount of money in the world that can replace a killed family member. People need to wake up to the truth that this bill is here to stay no matter what you try to say or do against it. Thank you Gov. Brewer and Sheriff Joe for doing your job when noone else has the courage to do it.
Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Please seek help if you are suffering. There is always hope and a solution to every problem. My issue is this-Passing this Prop 100 to me is not going to solve the problem. What is going to solve this "recession" as they say is voting in Godly women/men who believe in prayer and seek God's guidance before implementing laws that don't benefit anyone except themselves. Nothing is impossible to those who believe in God but the problem is that people want to do what they want when they want regardless of the consequences. There is plenty of money and there is no reason for any of these cuts to be taking place but until we get right with our relationship with God and start doing what he tells us to do we are going to continue to suffer from these irresponsible decisions by people who aren't concerned for their fellow man, state, or country.
I just want to express my condolences for this families loss. Second, it is amazing to me that just because the police and the medical examiner said that she committed suicide doesn't mean that this is true especially when there are many things in this article that are very questionable. I know that all the facts aren't presented here but what is presented is the fact that the girlfriend first thought that she was sleeping. Then she shook her and realized that she was probably dead. If she shot herself in the chest don't you think that there would have been blood visible? By shaking her she contaminated the scene. Also there are two guns mentioned in the article. The gun on the table and the one found near her thigh after "pulling the comforter back" Again this is questionable. One deputy saw a black revolver on a dresser, but didn't believe it was the weapon used, "because if it was a suicide and she shot herself, she would not have gotten out of bed and laid the revolver down." OK then if she shot herself with the other gun how was she able to pull the comforter back over herself to cover herself up? Does anyone see the conflict here? Just because the medical examiner didn't do a full autopsy doesn't mean that the family can't have the body dug up and looked at by an independent medical examiner to see if there are any other clues. Also were forensics done on both guns to see which one actually was used? Here is a list of other things that I would be asking if they weren't done originally. I am not a certified law enforcement officer so I would consult a private investigator who was a police officer or even ask an attorney if this case could be reopened and have these tests done if they weren't already done. It is only a suggestion and I know that reopening this wound is a hard thing. It might be that this is true that she did commit suicide but it sounds like the agencies involved just assumed it was a suicide but didn't actually do any forensics to actually prove that this was truly the case. Here is something that I found online but again I would check with a professional. `When it comes to suicide, 64% of men and 40% of women make firearms their death of choice because it's quick and relatively painless.
Following are a few ways to tell murder from suicide.
Where on the body the injury occurred: A shot to the side of the head, in the mouth, or to the front of the chest is usually suicide. Wounds located anywhere else are most likely homicide.
Distance of gun from the body: Most suicide shots are at contact or near contact range, causing a burn mark around the wound and leaving gunpowder residue (which can be wiped off). At contact range, and if the gun is fired just above a bone, such as the skull or the sternum, a star-like wound is produced. Anything further away is likely homicide.
Angle of the shot: Most suicide shots are angled slightly upward.
Number of shots fired: After one shot, even if a suicide victim isn't dead, he would likely be unconscious or physically unable to fire a second time. Multiple shots usually indicate homicide.
Presence of gunpowder residue on victims hand: If a man shot himself, there would be powder residue from unburned carbon on the hand that fired the gun.
Shots through clothing: A suicide victim will rarely shoot through clothing. If he shoots himself in the chest, which is unusual, he will open his shirt to expose the skin. Shots through clothing suggest homicide.
History, a note, other factors: If the victim left a suicide note, or was known to have personal problems, or if there was evidence of drug use or drinking, suicide is likely.
Evidence of a struggle: If there are scratches, cuts, bruises, homicide is likely.
How fast a person dies depends significantly on where the wound is located and how quickly he can get help. A shot to the head might kill, or it might not. A shot to the abdomen might take hours to kill the victim, or he might bleed to death in half that time. A gunshot victim can be rushed to the hospital, have a bullet removed from his abdomen, be well on the road to recovery, then die a week later from some unforeseen infection.
I live in AZ and have been here for almost 10yrs. My insurance is double and I can't even afford full coverage on my car. I was unable to get any help-even food stamps when I arrived in AZ. I have experience in the social service field but because I only speak English this puts me at a disadvantage in applying for jobs. I can't even go hiking at Madera Canyon anymore due to the fact that it is dangerous because more people are using these trails and littering the canyon and the streams with their trash and baby diapers. The other issue especially from people who don't live in Az and who aren't even U.S. citizens you need to mind your own business. You have no right to put false fear into people regarding this new bill. This new bill doesn't promote racial profiling at all. Please learn how to read before causing an unnecessary uproar in our community and nationally. The real truth is that all of you people who are against this bill are this way because now your family and friends can't come over here and use and abuse the privileges that are afforded to legal US Citizens. So lets get honest for once in your life and deal with the fact that this bill is here to stay no matter what you try to say or do against it. Thank you Gov. Brewer and Sheriff Joe for doing your job when noone else has the balls to do it.
I don't have a problem helping people who are in this country legally but the point that people are missing is that they are Illegally crossing into and trespassing on Federal property and coming into the US without the proper paperwork. If people want to help people why don't you go down to 6th ave or miracle mile and hand out water, blankets, or food to the people who are already citizens and need help too. Also littering is against the law regardless of your citizenship status.
