Me and My Brother, Robert Frank's portrait of the relationship between a poet, his catatonic schizophrenic brother, and his mentor and lover Alan Ginsberg in the '60s NYC beat scene, screens at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8. Searching for the Wrong Eyed Jesus, an evocative film following idiosycratic Americana musician Jim White, screens at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12. White, who records for David Byrne's Luaka Bop label, muses on religion and culture; visits a coal mine, a Pentecostal church and local bars; and talks with other musicians who ply the dark side, including 16 Horsepower/Woven Hand's David Eugene Edwards, and The Handsome Family. The latter is soon to be best known for their theme song for the new HBO series True Detective, starring Woody Harrelson and 2014 Academy Award Nominee Matthew McConaughey. T-Bone Burnette is the music director.
