Take a walk around the Red Hills Visitor Center in search of evidence of animal life at 3:15 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3. A lecture titled "Homesteading Adventures in the Desert" takes place at 10:15 a.m., Friday, Dec. 4. A lecture titled "The CCC and Its Impact on Saguaro National Park" takes place at 11:15 a.m., Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4 and 5. A lecture titled "Critter of the Week" takes place at 2:15 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4. Learn about efforts to stop road kill with the lecture "Road Kill! Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?" at 11:15 a.m., Sunday and Monday, Dec. 6 and 7. A lecture titled "Romance in the Desert" takes place at 2:15 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6. Explore the lore, myths and misunderstandings surrounding the rattlesnake with a lecture at 10:15 a.m., Monday, Dec. 7.
