This movie has a chance of seriously messing you up after you see it. Director Gasper Noé, the brilliant nut who made Irreversible, has returned with another technical masterpiece. When a young drug-dealer is shot to death, the film takes his point of view as he becomes a ghost and watches over his sister (Boardwalk Empire’s Paz de la Huerta). The results are technically amazing and morally questionable, as Noé puts the viewer in some rather nasty situations as the ghost, including being inside of a woman as she is having sex. Noé’s film is shocking, but for those who enjoy seeing a filmmaker taking chances and creating something different, this is quite the experience. Just don’t take a date … or your kids … or your mom … or anybody, for that matter. This is one to watch solo.
