Re: “B-36 on Display at the Pima Air and Space Musuem

So exciting ... this huge B-36! --- In his younger life, my late husband (C. L. Swieczkowski) was part of the USAF crew that manned one of these magnificent aircraft out of Walker AFB in NM. I did not know him, back then, but I DO know "that big girl was his mistress!" He was so proud of USAF service and of 'his' B-36 ... a scale model was displayed with pride in our home. Sadly, he was too sick to go and see THIS B-36, and passed away in 2010. I made the visit in his name, back in 2011. Thank you, USAF and Pima Air & Space Museum, and 'God Bless The USA!'

Re: “Tucson Rounds Out Forbes Top 10 US Capitals of Influence

I moved to Tucson back in 1971. It was then and ... hanging on by a thread ... still is a great place to live. My only request to newcomers from "other places" would be: Please do NOT try to bring your (old) city with you. Do NOT come here and think to change the ways of The Old Pueblo or its historic nickname. If you are "leaving" somewhere, just LEAVE. When you get here, sign on, and don't send for your old city's plants and ways. You must appreciate the modern phrase: "It is what it is." Because that is Tucson. Let her be! She has survived much ... read the history, embrace it, enjoy it, keep it. Yes, there will be changes ... but, here, the more things change ... the more we lose Tucson. So, be a steward of the wondrous story and history of this wonderful spot. Thanks!
