Try "La Cabana" on south 6th avenue (it has a white teepee roof and next to "los shuttles vans"), the food is truly homemade and simply deliciosa, they have a daily "comida corrida" platter kinda' like a gabacho blue plate special; about $7.00...!!! Oh it always comes with a soup mmmmmm.
