Re: “Hidden Agenda?

I'd like to add my query along with "question", why are the comments being shut down?

Re: “Hidden Agenda?

Neco, would you be interested in posting information on a web site concerning this topic? the site address is allthefactsplease.weebly.com it sounds like you have much valuable information, and it appears that the posts will stop on this article tonight. If you would be willing to do this it would be much appreciated. And thanks for the things you told us here!

Re: “Hidden Agenda?

I agree with "tw reader", call your congressmen and anyone else who has the ability to do something about this organization. If they weren't so deceptive about their ties it wouldn't be so problematic, but even after overwhelming proof of connections they continue denying it! (see the mail bag in the opinion tab and look for the letter from Karatas), why are they so concerned with distancing themselves from their leader? If he is such a good man, and his organization is so wonderful, then why not tell the world? Whenever someone or some group is so secretive, especially when our tax dollars are at stake, there is a compelling reason for it. I find it laughable that Karatas says in his letter that if only the reporter would come to the school he would see that they are open to scrutiny, and have nothing to hide. How on earth would that make any difference? This organization needs to either be shut down, or do some serious, honest explaining as to what they are up to!!! So in conclusion, go to your local FBI office, and if you are reading this in another city with one of these schools, try to find a journalist with the guts to write an article such as this one, if we expose them they will wither away, and if we can make enough complaints to the right governmental agencies they will be forced to take action. If they try to threaten you, stand up to them, they don't want to go through any "discovery" from a law suit, they wouldn't be able to explain away all of their inconsistencies. What ever you do don't give up, tell every one you know what is going on, that is the key to defeating them, one at a time

Re: “Hidden Agenda?

So Nan, after doing your extensive research, did you come to the conclusion that SSA is, or most likely is involved with the Gulen movement?

Re: “Hidden Agenda?

Well as far as being "sour grapes", I can't be that, I don't even have kids at the school. I am a concerned "tax payer", and the things that I have found out about these schools are quite alarming. I don't believe for a moment that you have done any research into Gulen and his movement, and as far as not seeing anything suspicious at SSA, do you really think that they would be doing things openly? If you aren't a lazy parent then why don't you back up your assertions with some facts, maybe you could tell everyone what exactly you have researched and where you found it? Being a fund raiser hardly makes you an expert on what is going on at the school. I really can't believe that with the links readily available, people with kids at this school wouldn't look into it. Are your beliefs (hopes) really that fragile?

Re: “Hidden Agenda?

I understand that the Turkish teachers are thrilled to be teaching in America, that is not the point. As far as doing homework on the subject, have you taken the time to research the information that has been presented on the Gulen organization? These schools never promote their agenda openly, it is only through secrecy and deception that they are able to continue functioning. And as far as the comments in opposition to SSA being only from "sour grapes" parents, that is a cop out if I have ever heard one! You have no idea who it is that is commenting on the site and this article, and to make this assumption is nothing less than ridiculous. It has become a common practice among those who don't "want" to look at the facts to start calling names and making ignorant assumptions. But if you really want to know then check out the links for yourself.

Re: “Hidden Agenda?

These are some very enlightening articles that keep being posted, it is amazing how much information is available out there on Gulen. The newsletter referenced by "exSSA parent" sounds surprisingly similar to what happened at the Salt Lake school. They (the board) went so far as to cut the teachers salaries, due to the cuts that the state had supposedly already imposed on the school. Then they had an emergency meeting to discuss ways that the parents could come up with additional funds for the school. As it turns out the cuts weren't even slated to happen until the following year, and there was no exact amount given. What is this, if nothing else it should anger the parents that they are being mislead about the finances. I am so glad to see that there are more parents getting involved with this, the only reason these types of groups get away with it is because good people refuse to get involved. They try to intimidate their critics, via threats and lawsuits, but don't let them get away with it, they're feeling the heat, and we must keep on fighting.
