Earth Walk

Participants walk or dance through a labyrinth hundreds of feet in diameter on the the summer solstice, Tuesday, June 21, to raise money for their favorite causes and to celebrate their connections with others working to improve life on planet earth. A portion of the money walkers raise supports the causes of their choice. The event features sound-healer Toby Christensen and several local musicians. Also included are vendors of organic food and beverages; raffle prizes; exhibitors of personal, social and environmental wellness initiatives; face-painting; an art corner and other kids' activities. Pre-activities, including building the labyrinth, community meditation and yoga, begin at 6 a.m. On-site registration for the walk begins at 5 p.m.; an opening ceremony is at 6 p.m.; the walk begins at 6:30 p.m.; and a VIP event takes place at 9:30 p.m. $25 for walkers; $15 before Monday, June 13. $5 non-walkers; free for pledges of $5 or more to a walker. $25 VIP party; free for sponsors of $1,000 or more, top walkers, lead volunteers and musicians.
