I am just shocked! I had no idea this was the Mormon Church. My respect for Jimmy Carter, already high, has soared! I always believed him to be a fair honest man who worked for all Americans. Now this revelation about how the Mormon Church came to change their view on African Americans only deepens my regards for Jimmy Carter. I heard the Church thinks Native Americans are a "lost tribe" of Israel, which strikes me as odd. All religions are geared to gathering and controlling as many people as the can in a game of dominance. Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews etc, all state their Prophet is the true Prophet of love and salvation, yet are all to eager to kill those that don't tow their line. The Creator will deal with them when their time is due. I hope reasonable people come out and vote. Those who proudly say they belong to one faction cannot possibly rule a country of many differing beliefs.
