Dust Devil

Carla inched into the Cholla thicket, avoiding thorny Mesquite branches and needled Prickly Pear.  Scolding Cactus Wrens revealed a nest overhead:  continuation of life. That doctor had told her, without eye contact, she has Breast Cancer. Her husband asked for printed information. He snapped, "How much information do you need? Entire textbooks have been written about this!" Gazing at Tumamoc Hill, Carla called a different surgeon to schedule her Lumpectomy.
