Sinful and clever, the food at this midtown restaurant brings raves. The kitchen takes familiar ingredients and builds plates such as beef carpaccio, Thai curry shrimp and lamb thagliardia. We absolutely love the yin and yang of the foie pops. Breads, pastas and desserts are all made in house and it shows. Prices are very reasonable as are the portions. Cocktails have a decidedly retro feel. This is the kind of place made for shared plates. (8-1-03)
