In response to wstar: yes- it is our current understanding that there is nothing to prevent him from possessing weapons from this point, as he is NOT a convicted criminal. When you add to that the fact that he now KNOWS he is immune from prosecution for anything he does, it amounts to quite the "free pass" he has been given. My question to the AZ justice (ha) system: how can the court rule that he is too incompetent to "assist in his defense," and in the same breath, deem him competent ENOUGH to be released back into the community?? Obviously, the two cannot exist in the same reality. Our family's fear, horror, and outrage over this situation should be shared by all members of the Tucson community, since this man now represents a danger to all.
