Confluence Center for Creative Inquiry

At 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, Every (Black) Woman: An Exploration of Identity, features soprano and UA alum Shermayne Brown, winner of the Harlem Opera Theater Voice Competition, and Bryan Carter, virtual-reality specialist in the UA Africana Studies department, presenting scenes from the life of "every woman" in the context of the African American experience. Others read from the poetry of Langston Hughes. The event commemorates African History Month. The Confluencecenter for Creative Inquiry works to encourage collaborative research across disciplines in the arts and sciences. Creative Collaborations with Paula Fan of the UA School of Music, take place at 11 a.m., the second Saturday of every Month, in the lower level of the UA Student Union Bookstore.
