BOOKS. BOOKS. BOOKS. The Very Nearly Annual Benefit Book Sale starts Friday and continues through Saturday, both days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are all kinds of books at the Arizona State Museum--art, architecture, archaeology, music, anthropology, cooking, Native culture, poetry and fiction. And, if you're a member of the museum, you get to preview these great tomes before everyone else on Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. The museum is on Park Avenue just north of University Boulevard. PROSPEROUS METAPHYSICS. Leading edge metaphysical issues are discussed at regular meetings at Spirit in Action Center, 6979 E. Broadway Blvd., Suite 123. On Friday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and repeated on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m., the topic is prosperity. Tammie Foster Weaver leads the discussion. A $5 honor-system fee is accepted. STAR GAZING. The Steward Observatory has been hosting public evening lectures in astronomy since 1924. Following Monday's lecture at 7:30 p.m., you can view the night sky with help from the 21-inch telescope. Dr. Jeremy Mould, director of NOAO at the University of Arizona, offers insight into how long we've been able to gaze up at the twinkly stars since the Big Bang occurred. THAT'S IT. Considering divorcing the old albatross? Arizona's divorce rate peaks above the national average (why is that, I wonder). The monthly Wednesday program starts at 6 p.m. and offers information on how to start the ball rolling. What do you do about paternity matters and how will you handle the emotional and legal aspects of divorce on your family? The program, at the Wilmot Library, 530 N.
