Great article! I never knew of the cultural bias toward dry sex. To me, it seems another way to shame women for their natural bodily responses to arousal. To each her own, tho. Part of me wishes the women in those cultures would feel more comfortable educating their partners but perhaps they need to be educated themselves first. I know I'm making assumptions here, but I honestly can't imagine that dry = painful sex could be remotely pleasurable or in some cases, even possible.

If honors were given to the best FOOD, and less focus was on ambience, then there are so many, many better places to get Mexican food in Tucson than El Charro, El Minuto, and Mi Nidito. How about Taqueria Pico de Gallo on South Sixth, or that small taco place on South 12th just north of Ajo? The food truck at Park and 36th? After much independent research (ha!), I have concluded that the best refried beans in town are at Taqueria Guadalajara on 4th Ave and 22nd Street and the best tortillas are from Anita Street Market in Barrio Anita. If you like Mexican food, I mean if you REALLY like Mexican food... have some adventure and eat outside the box.

This is a fantastic store and resource center. The products are the best of the best, and Ally really knows her stuff. The store is beautifully designed and very comfortable (there are chairs to lounge in), and there's none of that silly, giggling "wink wink" mentality I've experienced at other stores. Ally is known for her community activism work and I think overall, this is an excellent addition to the Fourth Ave. shops.

Totally agree with Erin Jaye. Climb out of the 70s and stop body shaming.
