Please forgive me. I'm not having a good week.
I can't look at any of my feeds right now because it's full of my friends at the
New York Comic-Con having the time of their lives. I had a press badge but I couldn't afford to go this year, but count me in for next year. The next best thing to NYCC is the
Arizona Fur Con in Phoenix this weekend. The convention is Scottsdale this weekend at the Embassy Suites Phoenix-Scottsdale Hotel, 4415 East Paradise Village Parkway South, Phoenix.
Unfortunately, I won't be attending because I'll be at Tucson Meet Yourself for the first time in a couple years.
Tucson Comic-Con is right around the corner but why isn't there a Furry convention here? It's this weird fetish I only see in Phoenix and every convention I have attended but Tucson. There has to be a underground community here that meets in some abandoned warehouse that hasn't been transformed into swanky bar yet.
I know for a fact that there's a group of grown men that meet to discuss
My Little Pony. If Bronies can get together then why can't the Furries get their act together?
What's a Furry Fandom?
The furry fandom is a subculture interested in fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics. Examples of anthropomorphic attributes include exhibiting human intelligence and facial expressions, the ability to speak, walk on two legs, and wear clothes. Furry fandom is also used to refer to the community of people who gather on the Internet and at conventions.
