Nine Inch Nails/"Call Me Maybe" Mash-Up Is Re-Wiring My Brain

I know that we generally have We Got Cactus for things like this, though over the last few weeks we've been spending time on great album reviews, previews of great festivals, band news, and tributes, but I can't stop listening to this song, and I'm urged to share it with all of you now.

It's a mash-up of Nine Inch Nails's "Head Like A Hole," combined with Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" — hilariously titled "Call Me A Hole."

And it's so deeply, deeply weird.

On the one hand, it's got Trent Reznor's harsh vocals from "Head Like A Hole," while on the other, it has the poppy, bubblegum beat of Call Me Maybe behind it (with absolutely NO vocal assistance from Miss Jepsen, thank God).

And I haven't been so confused by a piece of music since the weirdly awesome "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)"/"Low Rider" remix I found years and years ago in the depths of Napster.

(Oh, and if anyone has a copy of that "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)" remix laying around, I've got a blank CD and a few bucks. Call me, maybe?)
