Re: “Eve of a Strike: Teachers and Districts Prep To Walk out of Schools This Week

"seeing as the state says they have no funding for education then adds to voucher programs and tax cuts."

That says it all right there, doesn't it? Ducey and the rest of his administration's BS isn't gonna fly. There's a lot of support for the teachers and this movement is way past due.

Re: “Danehy

45 gets away with it because his enablers in congress let him get away with it. He gets away with it because his evangelical christian followers cherry-pick their morals that have nothing to do with the bible and everything to do with keeping a political advantage to legally discriminate against any non-white or non-christian. Finally, he gets away with it because his base is salivating in their fever-dream of a non-existent American past where they can somehow feel superior of all others and all of American's problems of racism, discrimination and inequality are quietly swept under the rug. 45 is giving all these people these bones and they eat it up and grovel at his feet, and he thrives on that.

Re: “The Skinny

"...anemic defense budgets"?? McSally is delusional or ignorant or both. The United States has the highest defense spending in the history of the world. This country spends more on national defense than the next eight countries combined. It accounts for almost 16% of our federal spending and almost half of our discretionary. To say that is anemic in any way, shape, or form is laughably deceiving.

Re: “Cash the Crops

Now all we need do is make industrial hemp legal to grow and manufacture with and we'll have a growth industry that will not only benefit the environment but create jobs and industry nationally.

Re: “Looks Like the Office of Congressional Ethics Is Still in Business—For Now

Thanks for the update. Though I didn't vote for McSally I let her know and gave her a thumbs up for her resistance to this blatant over-reach by other elected members of congress. Hey, if they're not guilty of anything then what's to fear, eh?

Re: “Hitler: America Is Weak Because It's Not White Enough

@what again, Well, thank you for at least admitting The Guardian is one source that you have some respect for. Geez, that's something. And I'll admit that I did additional digging into the rise in hate crimes and it is, indeed, unclear that is actually the case according to the FBI statistics - though it does appear that crimes against Muslims has increased since last year (2015) as a general trend. But since the election? The verdict does appear to be out. And this from a pretty liberal site:

Is it Fake News or bad reporting at that point? I think the distinction can be debated but the current topic of the day is Fake News so that's shouted from the rooftops. I guess this dialogue is a good example of both sides (and I do mean both sides) needing to be less inflammatory (especially online - "serial liar? really?) because much more can probably be accomplished - but I'm optimistic. So an offered hand-shake or fist-bump or whatever you prefer to What again (and I've read plenty of your posts on here at the weekly)

As for ol' Stevie:……

Re: “Hitler: America Is Weak Because It's Not White Enough

@what again, As did I. Unfortunately you've dismissed my links as being 'fake news' so I'm asking you where you get your so-called 'real news' from? I'm not asking for links to specific stories, just your news sources. "I get news from all over" didn't answer my question so please share. I'm looking for more 'reputable' sources.
