With a been there, done that attitude, Martin Lawrence reprises his role as the undercover cop with the wannabe-funny fat suit and shrill voice. Now married to Sherry (Nia Long), Lawrences character has transferred to a PR desk job with an occasional school appearance as the jaded safety eagle. However, when a former partner is murdered while investigating a threat to the U.S. government intelligence network, Lawrence dons the Big Momma costume to nab the suspected techno terrorist. As part of the ploy, Big Momma gets hired as the felons nanny. Throughout the typical sequel drivel, a scary 10 parody is introduced, along with an alcoholic Chihuahua in need of a 12-step program. As writer of both Big Momma movies, Don Rhymer now has two strikes against him.
