Char's never seems to disappoint, and with an extensive menu full of classic Thai dishes, both the connoisseur and the newcomer will be satisfied. The lunch specials (your choice of a main dish plus a variety of sides, including the soup of the day) are always great and competitively priced, but you may have to deal with a few high school kids lining up for Thai iced teas. The booths and décor (with rather creative tabletops) leave you feeling comfortable and relaxed, and the servers are always friendly. Don't be fooled by the modest storefront outside: After one visit to Char's, you'll be finding every excuse you can to go back.
