While the Fox Tucson Theatre continues to search for its soul (and audience)—or wait, maybe it's that Tucson is still searching for its own soul—the restored theater has become a great destination for old movie serials, cartoons and other old-time fare. It helps parents introduce their kids to Benji or The Rocky Horror Picture Show (yes, with a stroll out for popcorn during certain scenes). This summer, the Fox brought generations together with screenings of old movie serials like The Green Archer. Right now, these old-film screenings are probably not enough to pay the Fox's bills, but it's a start in getting people to ask, "I wonder what's playing at the Fox?"
