KRQ has been at it for almost as many years as the age of its core demographic, currently giving us our daily fix of dance-club beats and the most popular of the Top 40 hits. (It also was the home for Jimmy Kimmel, now a big star, during the mid-'90s.) 93.7 KRQQ-FM is where rap and current rock collide on the playlist, and the mix largely reminds us of having MTV in our car. Or, better still, its sister cable channel, MTV2. If you want to get a little 50 Cent and then Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl," tune it to this station. KRQ is our shit, and we mean that in a good way.
