Reid Park

Tucsonans sure know how to diversify. We outfit our landscape with water-wise xeriscaping and cherish our cactuses. On the other hand, we love our leafy shade trees and grassy expanses, as in Reid Park. It's like the Central Park of Tucson, with multi-use paths, a golf course, a swimming pool and facilities for just about any sport you might enjoy. Reid Park and its environs are a haven for wildlife, so if the exotic animals of Reid Park Zoo aren't your thing, you have a good chance of meeting some wild new friends--like the brilliant red-feathered vermilion flycatcher--on a simple stroll. Next time you're toting the kids to El Con Mall for some uninspired shopping, take a detour and enjoy the park at the heart of our city instead.
