The word "pastiche" means a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. What better name could there be for this perennial winner? The folks here take old-time favorites and add a modern twist. The mushroom soup is rich, earthy and totally unlike that stuff from a can. The fried avocado is crunchy and creamy all in one bite, especially after being dipped in either of the two sauces: a chipotle aioli and a hoisin. Greek rotisserie chicken, Asian barbecue ribs and an eclectic mix of pastas are among the menu's tasty treats. Tuesday night is steak night, when tender beef is served with a full salad and two sides for a mere $15.
