Ben's Bells, an organization whose primary objective is spreading kindness, has permeated the Tucson culture and the ripple effect has been nothing short of astounding. The founder, Jeannette Maré, has transformed personal tragedy into an idea that has extended well beyond Tucson. Bells are crafted and assembled by numerous volunteers in the community and then distributed randomly all over town, serving as a reminder to pay kindness forward. Additionally, there are brightly colored mosaics in many locations including the downtown Kindness Corridor, as well as public schools. Doing good deeds will never go out of style, and the tremendous growth of Ben's Bells over the years goes to show that kindness is indeed infectious.
