Tino's Pizza

When people talk about pizza, most of the superlatives usually surround a couple of unnamed Fourth Avenue establishments. It's not that they're not deserving, but eastsiders who have been dining on this New York-style pizza since 1984 would readily put Tino's up against anyone else's pie in a blind taste-test competition. The crust is crisp but not too thin, and chewy but not too thick. The slices are ample and taste so damn good that you don't mind burning the roof of your mouth, because who wants to wait? Tino's also has all the requisite salads, hot Italian sandwiches and beer—but make no mistake: It's all about the pizza.
