Best Dog Park

Reid Park

About eight years back, we used to have a category called Best Dog Walk in City Life--this was before the days of legal, leash-free dogs runs in the city. Sure, there were always illegal places to let your hounds roam wild, but it's a lot safer to take Fido to a dog-designated, fenced-in, grassy knoll in one of Tucson's city parks. The best dog park, in our humble opinion, is the one at Reid Park, and it wins our vote for two reasons: One, it's centrally located, and two, there are separate areas for little dogs and big dogs. Lots of regulars frequent the spot, located just across the parking lot from the zoo, and there's plenty of water, random tennis balls and fun to be had--your dogs will not want to leave, even if you promise them immortality and endless supplies of cheese.
