Best Breakfast

Blue Willow

Readers' Pick: The Blue Willow's breakfast offerings rarely change, and neither do our readers' preferences; this egg-centered menu gets the best-breakfast nod year after year. Take a shady outdoor seat, order an omelet, settle back and start filling in next year's Best of Tucson ballot.

Readers' Poll Runner Up: Frank's, 3848 E. Pima St. We don't need to make references to Norse gods or Mexican legends to get the point across that Frank's does a darn good breakfast. Period. We've never seen the guy (Frank, that is), but apparently he's a simple fellow who likes his coffee hot and fresh, his pancakes fluffy and his eggs just perfect, and his check not over the $5 mark. So get on down to Frank's. Better yet, give us a call and we'll go with you.

Staff Pick: Claire's, 16140 N. Oracle Road, Catalina. Housed in a funky little shopping center, Claire has been producing great real food for years. You might get lucky and catch a rare breakfast special like SOS-Claire makes the best in town, along with great homemade bakery goods and staples like chicken-fried steak. It's a great spot either before or after a little range time up the road at the Pima Pistol Club.
