Ofelia Zepeda

Oh, Ofelia. One of those Tucsonans who has her very own Wikipedia page. The UA linguistics professor has dedicated much of her career to preserving the Tohono O'odham language and promoting literacy in her Native American community. But in her spare time, she does the sorts of things we all do: publishes books of poetry, serves on literary advisory committees and wins MacArthur Fellowships.
