U.K. export and adopted Tucsonan Tom Walbank knows the blues. As a guitar and harmonica player, his emotive performances are pretty mesmerizing to watch with a style clearly influenced by the greats for the genre. What you might not know about Walbank, though, is that he's also an artist. "Picture the Blues" is the musician's new art book that features beautiful black and white portraits of music legends like Miles Davis, Tom Waits, Son House and many more. Just how many more, you ask? Well, the book offers up an impressive 250 different drawings by Walbank.

You can pick up your own copy and see Walbank perform live at Tucson's Museum of Contemporary Art (265 S. Church Ave.) on Saturday, Aug. 29, beginning at 7 p.m. The event is free to MOCA members and $5 for non-members.
