B-Sides: Tax Day Soiree

CUT AND KAMP

Several of Tucson's music scene facets are colliding on Friday, April 15 to put on a fundraising concert event, which includes live record cutting demos, new local releases and more. The Tax Day Soiree will be LatheCuts.com's first public foray into venuedom, serving as an open house for local labels Baby Gas Mask Records and PIAPTK Recordings as well. One day after the BGMR release of the Ghostal and Garboski West Food Forward 7" split, the event will showcase local recorded music as well as live. On the live side of things, a stacked seven-band bill will feature Acorn Bcorn, Macaulay Vulcan, Foxx Bodies (everyone's new favorite Riot Grrrl band) and more. Best of all, the donation-only event goes to benefit KAMP Student Radio (1570 AM or online). The Tax Day Soiree starts at 7 p.m. at Lathe Cuts Studio (750 N. Stone Ave.) and will hopefully be the first of many shows for the space.
