Re: “The Skinny

As a mentor of mine said of her; it's a tale of 2 Martha's. Honestly, if she would just be straight about her positions I could get back to my lovely life with a smattering of resistance thrown in.
But her disingenuous representation is intolerable.

Re: “The Skinny

The time to try to distance yourself from Trump was back in July once Trump won the nomination. But that would have taken courage; something I fear she lacks. Although she practically threatened my group who met with her in February saying that she isn't afraid of anything. She might have the kind of fearlessness that comes with handling a killing machine, but I'm not sure that courage translates in her case. Anyway, it's too late now. She's stuck with him like that Cheeto cheese that sticks to your fingers that you can't get off.

Re: “So Are Your AZ Politicians Supporting Trumpcare?

For months McSally has been saying she was working with leaders in Congress on this bill. Now she is "on the fence?"

Re: “Rep. Martha McSally, Former Rep. Ron Barber, and Courage

Thank you for highlighting something we have been saying since the election. I would add that we made it very clear to the Congresswoman when we invited her to our Town Hall last Thursday (5 days before our public event) that we would be happy to work with her on a format for our event that would make her comfortable. Additionally, we are hiring TPD at our own expense to ensure her safety and ours. To keep the event civil and productive, our e-ticket requires that you agree to follow guidelines of civil discourse. We intend to have a list of ground rules on a large screen and 2 moderators that will help to enforce the ground rules. We communicated all of this to her and she hasn't bothered to reply except to call us operatives. If asking her to answer how she is representing us with the opportunity to ask follow up questions pointing out her own contradictory statements is an ambush, then maybe she is too fragile for this job.

Re: “Editor's Note

Thank you, Mari, for vocalizing what many of us are feeling as well. The hypocrisy is stunning. McSally is the NRA darling. Voters will remember in 2018.

Re: “Super Bummer: Steve Earle Cancels Rialto Concert

With all due respect, Bobby Breiter, what the f@*k do you think we have been doing? If you had a clue about Arizona politics you would know that those of us who live in Tucson don't sit idly by while our legislators pass legislation that does not represent our core values. We protest, we march, we write letters, we tweet, Facebook, campaign, give money to candidates and causes, call, cry, pull our hair out, look for jobs in other states and so on. Meanwhile, many of us actually put water out, especially this time of year, for border crossers so that they don't die crossing our desert trying to find a better life than that in Mexico and other economically disparate latin countries. Many of our religious institutions actually run these type of programs.
I am so sick of being boycotted, I could barf burritos! I wish these musicians would grow some stones, play in Tucson, and donate or raise funds to fight our legislators! THAT would actually make a difference! And Bobby, this is not personal, unfortunately your comment represents what many people think.
