Re: “Flow Job

Yep, it's always the left. And those damn environmentalists.

Between the two of them, all we get are common sense solutions to the short sided greed that the wrong, oh excuse me, the "right", engage in.

But, hey, we can all eat money and drink oil, right MYOB?

Make sure you're the first in line to drink the tainted water if the Rosemont Greedmongers get their way. Who knows, that action may actually change what you believe to be true.

Trump hasn't secured jack shit.

Also, history will prove this asshat to be a complete FAILURE!

You know, history.

As in about 3 years.

Re: “Editor's Note

"Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner"

The '90s called...

They want their trite cliche back!

Oh, lookie me, I'm using synonyms in the same sentence.

Either way, congratulations to you and your crew Jim!

I'm sure that you'll make a better editor than the the last two. Especially the one right before you.

Re: “Don't Forget the Coop

Why care about the golf courses?

Unless of "course" you're playing them in AZ.

But your username is Ex-Arizonan.

So, do you play elsewhere?

From what I understand, time permitting, Alice plays on a course in every city he visits.

It doesn't matter, Alice is still a worldwide phenomenon.

Not to mention an Arizona legend.

But I didn't mention that.

(Wink) ;o)

Re: “Danehy

"I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris."

Funny that you mention that statement.

When I heard President Doofus say that, I almost choked on my laughter. My initial thought was that even I could come up with a better statement than that. On the 1 to 10 scale of pathetic, that one registered as a 9.8 easily.

Then I challenged myself to come up with something better and it took me about 2 seconds. I'm not exaggerating, I'm not embellishing. It took me 2 (probably even 1.5) seconds. This is the golden nugget that popped into my head:

"I was elected to represent the citizens of Paris, Texas...not Paris, France!"

Yeah, I know, it's bad. But I believe the next speech writer for President Goofy could easily be me or even the smartest gibbon at the Reid Park Zoo.

Re: “Battle Acts: Sgt. Pepper Then vs. Sgt. Pepper Now

Hey Web Master (Chelo?) :

Why did the comment box toss out the emojis I included in my post script?

They aided in displaying my playful sarcasm.

I have included emojis in my commentary on previous posts and this didn't occur. Because of that, I shall include a generic old school emoji here. :(

Re: “Battle Acts: Sgt. Pepper Then vs. Sgt. Pepper Now

Regardless of what any Beatles fan, Beatles pessimist or someone who is in between thinks, this album will stand the test of time longer than any other Beatles album will...and it will stand that test longer than 99.9999% of any other album ever recorded. The Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" and The Mothers "Freak Out" were definitely catalysts, but The Beatles made this approach to recording an album something all their own. This album is a HUGE milestone in the popular music and (no matter how much those who just can't see it will deny) rock n roll categories.

Personally, I don't favour any of the various mixes. I believe that they all have their charms. It's just another great excuse to listen to this excellent recording over and over again, comparing the different mixes which have been done over the years and the different formats on which they have appeared.

My biggest pet peeve is the fact that "Strawberry Fields Forever" wasn't originally included as part of the track listing. I say this because it is my favourite Beatles song and it is always in my rotating list of my top 5 songs of all time. George Martin has claimed that not including this track was the biggest mistake of his professional career. All I can do with that statement is concur.

Thanks for this fun article Serene!

P.S. - You never responded back to me when I commented on the Jingle Bell Shame article about the Roseanne Barr Christmas album. Wot up wit dat? DC
