Re: “A Trip Down Peyote Way

I met these Peyote Way people at a crafts fair in California, and we bought a mug. Reading this article and seeing the cynicism and doubt at the idea of paying for a peyote experience... well, the negativity confuses me. The Zapf-Kents seem very passionate about what they are doing. They are offering a retreat, guidance, the peyote itself and the assurance that this plant is being propagated there... the entire experience. Knocking them for asking for money for this service and/or their ceramics is like saying doctors, or librarians, or teachers, should offer their services gratis, to show that they really believe in their cause rather than in money. It takes both spiritual and physical sustenance to live! Anyway, maybe it is time for another trip, Glenn. Maybe something has soured with the Peyote Way people, but there are plenty of ways to get that experience. A middle-age refresher is always helpful!
