Tom's right, Israel didn't wait for the Egyptians to attack them by land and air at the same time. If I were going to war with three nations that outnumbered me on the ground I don't think I'd let them have the first punch in the air OR on the ground. The Israelis have stopped offensives in favor of peace talks more than once. Any chance the Muslim world stops an offensive with an open road to the Iraeli capitol? In the Yom Kippur war the Israelis could have taken Cairo and Damascus without us hauling them off for more peace talks? Any peace break out?
As long as Arabs lose we kick the can down the road. As soon as the Arabs win one Israel ceases to exist forever. Granted, it would have been better built in Montana or North Dakota.
