Just because the summer is coming to an end and our lives kick back in overdrive, it doesn't mean we should let our creative energies fall to the wayside. There's still plenty of fun to be had for adults and children. On Saturday, Aug. 15, three arts-based community organizations will offer up arts and crafts and food with an Artivity event. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Tucson Children's Museum, the Tucson Museum of Art and the Sonoran Glass School will offer workshops where guests can create unique pieces of art. Whether you want to make a wind up robot at the children's museum or a glass paperweight at the glass school, your great masterpiece is nearby for an affordable price. General admission is $5, and free for children 12 and under. Different fees for each workshop will apply. Road Running Wood Fire Pizza will be serving up slices from their food truck throughout the event. For more info, go to www.sonoranglass.org.
