My daughter, singer Maya Caballero, who performs in Tucson often, is descended from Alvarez' and I wonder if she might be any relation.I notice a slight resemblance to Mirabel Alvarez.Hopefully, one day I will be in town to go to the festival! It sounds great.
By the way, I managed to catch Maya Caballero on Al Perry's "Clambake" radio show on KXCI over the internet. Al played fantastic New Orleans Blues. What a great combination. Not to be missed on Monday nights from 10PM - midnight (kxci.org)!
