Annual Mesquite-Milling and Pancake-Breakfast Fiesta
Desert Harvesters hold their annual mesquite-bean milling and pancake fiesta from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 6. Mesquite-bean milling will be available from 8 a.m. to noon for $2 per gallon of whole pods, with a minimum of $5 per person. Mesquite-flour pancakes will be available for $1 each from 9 a.m. to noon. A new cookbook, Eat Mesquite!, will also be released at the event. Admission is free, and proceeds from the pancakes benefit Desert Harvesters. Visit www.desertharvesters.org for more information.
