Hi my name is Tina Espinoza. My father who has passed away in the last two years was Pete Paul Espinoza. We lived on and owned Medina's Nursery near the corner of Heintz st and Arrow Hwy in Baldwin Park, CA about, 1967-1974. My father being a self taught artist and a laboring nurserymen in need of a break was the one who created that statue image for our garden at home. As many landscapers and gardeners came to purchase plants and seen my fathers statue, began placing orders for more statues large and small. I too have two in my own garden today and one on my refrigerator holding up a picture of my dad. And as for the meaning of the statue my father said" people take from it what need" but it really goes no further than a much needed break in the shade.
