Joe Bloom - you just did the same thing you are claiming this Editor's Note is doing (distacting from the issue). Everyone should be able to speak up and have a voice about issues that matter to them. Yes, of course there are other issues that you feel are more important to address...so write your own opinion piece. This piece matters to a lot of people.
