As a Tucson native that lives in Councilmember Kozachik's ward I have been pleasantly surprised by his tenacity and intelligence. I do not agree with him on every issue but I have reached out to his office directly for help and always received a timely response and practical help. From questions related to Covid rules for small business to navigating state bureaucracy on business licensing his team has consistently been there to serve.
My hope is that other council members (and folks in the community) would see his work ethic and appreciate the servitude even if they don't always see eye to eye on policy. The man bleeds Old Pueblo. My fear is that my own political tribe will reject an excellent skilled public servant because he doesn't align with them 100% of the time.
I'm just a hard working nobody with next to nothing but he has my vote.
